Campaign through social media is proven to make a difference. Social media is used for virtual gathering place and indirectly to mobilize the masses that have the same goal.

Usman said this is not only because people do online petitions, but there is hard work and support of all parties to urge the government or policy-makers in order to satisfy what people want.
In Indonesia, Change.org helped some social change. One is an attempt to stop the dolphin itinerant circus initiated by the band's guitarist Neutral, Christopher Bollemeyer or familiarly called Coki.

In his petition, Coki requested that few companies can no longer support the circus dolphins around. Because actors do not circus dolphins treat appropriately. The dolphin was taken to the crate without water, intelligent mammals were only given a moisturizer in order to survive.

Petition Coki now get 90 thousand support, both from within and outside the country. The petition was addressed by the supermarket company. Carrefour, Hero and Giant, no longer willing to provide land for a parking lot circus dolphins. Garuda Indonesia airline, committed to stop transporting dolphins by plane. Tea and Coca Cola Bottle Sosro also no longer willing to sponsor.In his home country, the United States, Change.org huge impact in social and political change.

This website was founded by Ben Rattray in 2007. Change.org got through several iterations, originally used as a social network for social activism, then turned into a blog, and then transformed into an online petition website in 2011.
