Largest building in the world

If China is famous for its first state that has the longest wall in the world now a building site called The New Century Global Center succeeded to waking up in Chengdu, Sichuan province, China. In this building has a shopping center, water park, skating rink, a hotel, and residential Mediterranean.


Once the size of the building, estimated to contain up to about 20 pieces of the Sydney Opera House, Pentagon or 3 times in it. Incredible.

This building area that can shake my head because it has more than 19 million square feet or 500 m long, 400 m wide and 100 m high, as reported by Dailymail.

The walls and the roof is made of a series of glass arranged on a steel frame, so whatever the weather outside, the room temperature will remain warm inside. They make a sun that can keep the temperature inside.

According to an official in China, The New Global Center is the largest building in the world. It took them 3 years to complete construction.
 
 "It's similar to the underwater city built by man," said Liu Xun, a tour guide told AFP.

Residents of Chengdu, capital of China's Sichuan province, never imagined that they would one day go to the beach in their hometown; after all, Chengdu is over 1,000 miles from the coast. But thanks to the New Century Global Center, they'll now get that chance:  The gigantic new structure has its very own beach, complete with artificial sea breezes and sunsets. Who needs Thailand?



And that's not all. the New Century Global Center, which is now the world's largest building, offers a lot of other amenities in its 19 million square feet:

  • a 500,000 square foot art center
  • two five-star hotels
  • a 14-screen IMAX cinema
  • a water park
  • luxury stores and restaurants
  • artificial sun that will provide light -- and heat -- 24 hours a day

Architect of the building is a British-Iraqi descent named Zaha Hadid
