Indonesia Coffee turned out to be one of the best coffee in the world. Not only that, Indonesia is also the third largest producer of coffee in the world. For this reason, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy were lifting the coffee as an icon of tourism in Indonesia.
"One of the creative industries to develop our culinary center where it is related to food and drink. Tourism without food and drink was not possible. Coffee became an important part of the creative industries," said Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Nirwandar in Building Sapta Enchantment, Jakarta, Tuesday (28/8).
Sapta said the potential of coffee in Indonesia is very diverse ranging from Aceh, Sidikalang in North Sumatra, Lampung, Java, Bali, Flores, Toraja, to Wamena. According to the Director of Indonesian Coffee Festival 2012 Ellyanthi Tambunan, there are 14 export-quality coffee producing province in Indonesia.
"The character and taste of 14 different coffee. Very unique and we can not find anywhere else in the hemisphere. Having said that, we want the awareness (consciousness) to the people of Indonesia can be proud of local products," said Ellyanthi.
Expert coffee, Tuti Mochtar, a member of the team of the Indonesian Coffee Festival 2012 said that tourism can not be separated with a drink. "Indonesia has a coffee variety with good quality. We have a unique way of making coffee, as with socks and brewed, "he said.
Meanwhile, for the lifting of coffee Indonesia, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy also plans to hold the first Indonesian Coffee Festival entitled Indonesian Coffee Festival 2012 in Ubud, Bali, on 15-16 September 2012. The festival is the result of cooperation Kemenparekraf, Gianyar Regency, Empire Ubud, Indonesia Specialty Coffee Association, Community Coffee, Coffee and bloggers. Besides featuring coffee from various regions in Indonesia, the festival will also be shown how to process and present the typical coffee country.
